Minehead is the northerly terminus of the West Somerset Railway featured in Train Sim World. Closed by British Rail in 1971, it was reopened as part of the preserved railway in 1976. It is also the only station on the railway to have a turntable. All services along the WSR either start or terminate at Minehead station.
The West Somerset Railway's depot is also located at Minehead where most locomotives are stored whilst not in service.
