The United States or the USA is a country in North America which has the world's longest railroad network. In Train Sim World, the USA was first featured in the Sand Patch Grade route.

Operators[]

  • Amtrak - Amtrak is the main passenger operator in the United States. It was created in 1971 to replace the failing passenger services of the major US railroads.
  • BNSF - BNSF is one of North America’s leading freight transportation companies, with a rail network of 32,500 route miles in 28 states and three Canadian provinces. BNSF is one of the top transporters of the products and materials that help feed, clothe, supply and power communities throughout America and the world. BNSF moves those goods more safely and efficiently, on significantly less fuel, with fewer emissions than the all-highway alternative. This operator featured in the Cajon Pass route. [1]

Built in the early 20th century through the Allegheny Mountains to link the Clinch River Basin coalfields to the Southeast and to the Ohio valley, it was merged into the Seaboard System in 1983.
  • CSX Transportation - CSX is one of the two main railroads in the eastern United States. It was created by the merger of the Chessie and Seaboard Systems and later acquired 42% of Conrail.
  • Long Island Rail Road - The operator of commuter passenger services on the island of Long Island in New York State. Owned by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
  • Metro-North Railroad - Operator of commuter passenger services out of New York's Grand Central Terminal and Hoboken to New York state, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Another part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
  • Norfolk Southern - NS is one of the two main railroads in the eastern United States with track ownership in 22 states as well as Canada. It was created by the merger of the Southern and Norfolk & Western railroads, and later acquired 58% of Conrail.
  • Union Pacific - Union Pacific is one of the two main railroads in the western United States. Founded in 1862, it has grown to become the largest operator in the USA with 32,100 miles of railway in 23 states.
